Ryan C. Whitaker joined Apex in 2025 as a Senior Associate. In this role, Ryan delivers full-cycle accounting and tax services, with a specialized focus on complex bookkeeping and client system management. His ability to streamline financial operations and enhance internal processes makes him a valuable partner to both his clients and the Apex team.
Ryan’s career began in 2019 when he joined a startup in the IT recruiting space as the sole staff accountant. He quickly became an integral part of the company’s leadership team, managing all aspects of internal accounting and contributing to operations and management. During his time there, the organization earned recognition as one of the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Companies, ranking #454 in 2022. In 2023, Ryan transitioned into public accounting to broaden his focus on tax and further deepen his expertise in full-spectrum accounting services.
Ryan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business. He is currently pursuing his Master’s in Accounting at Keller Graduate School of Management, with plans to obtain his CPA certification.
Outside of work, Ryan enjoys golfing with friends, hiking and walking with his dog, and watching football—especially during weekend gatherings with his close circle of friends. When time allows, he loves taking his Jeep off-road to explore new places and unwind. He also stays informed by regularly listening to podcasts and following current events.
A strong believer in personal growth and community, Ryan surrounds himself with a driven, supportive group of friends. One of his favorite annual traditions is meeting at the start of the year to set goals and collaborate on ways to help each other achieve them. His mindset of growth, accountability, and teamwork aligns perfectly with Apex’s values and mission.
