Matt joined the Apex Team in 2013 after moving from southern Illinois, where he began his accounting career in 2009. He has worked with growth-minded small business owners since the beginning, providing services in bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, audit, and tax. His transition to the Apex Team has allowed him to develop and focus his skills in budgeting, financial analysis, and tax planning. Skills that are crucial to making the numbers work harder for the growth-minded small business owner.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Jones International University (2009). He also possesses a Bachelor of Science in Operations Management and Information Systems from Northern Illinois University (1991). He has 18 years combined experience in the warehousing, manufacturing, and construction industries.

Matt resides in Plainfield with his wife Barbara and their daughter, Genevieve. He spends his leisure time enjoying his family, watching football, and volunteering skills for church and community.
