OUR PEOPLE
Hunter Buck joined the Apex team in 2025 as an Associate. In his role, Hunter supports the firm with the preparation of individual and business tax returns, as well as ensuring the accuracy of financial statements for clients. With a strong eye for detail and a focus on reliability, Hunter plays a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting.
While earning his degrees at Northern Illinois University, Hunter served as a Community Advisor and Graduate Residence Hall Director—experiences that helped him develop valuable professional, organizational, and communication skills that now benefit his work at Apex.
Hunter received his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from NIU in May 2024 and is currently on track to complete his Master of Accounting Science in August 2025. His academic focus, combined with hands-on leadership experience, has prepared him well for the fast-paced world of public accounting.
Outside of work, Hunter enjoys spending time outdoors—going for walks, relaxing at the pool, and soaking up the sunshine whenever he can. He recently relocated to Glen Ellyn, where he shares his home with his cat, Whiskey.
Hunter’s mix of academic excellence, leadership experience, and calm, steady presence makes him a great addition to the Apex team.
