OUR PEOPLE
David Schillmoeller, CPA, joined the Apex team in 2025 as an Accounting Supervisor. In his role, David provides accounting services that support clients’ month-end close processes, including adjusting entries, financial reporting, and delivering insights that bring clarity and value to their financial data. His approach emphasizes transparency, accuracy, and practical improvements that enhance decision-making.
With over five years of experience on the corporate operations side of accounting, David has developed a strong focus on creating efficient processes that lead to better data and more informed financial outcomes. His background equips him to identify opportunities for improvement and help clients navigate their financial landscapes with confidence.
David earned his Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Business Administration with a focus in Accounting from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. He became a licensed CPA in 2024.
Outside of work, David enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, Sarah, his dog, Amara, and his cat, Chili Bean. Weekends often find him in the kitchen experimenting with a variety of breads—from sourdough to croissants—accompanied by a soundtrack that ranges from heavy metal to orchestral music.
Originally from the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, David is one of four siblings, including a twin. His passion for accounting runs deep, and he hopes to inspire that same enthusiasm in those around him as he continues to grow with the Apex team.
