Jimena A. Plazola joined the Apex team in 2025 as an Accounting Supervisor. In this role, she contributes her extensive experience to a variety of responsibilities, including day-to-day accounting functions and the preparation of tax returns. Jimena is committed to ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strategic insight in every client engagement.
Her professional journey includes serving in key leadership roles such as Senior Accountant, Financial Administrator, and Director within nonprofit and church organizations. In these roles, Jimena consistently delivered thoughtful financial solutions and strategic guidance. Her work in corporate accounting at a previous CPA firm further strengthened her expertise in managing complex financial situations across diverse client types.
Jimena holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration in Organizational Leadership. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree, with an expected graduation in 2026—an achievement that reflects her dedication to lifelong learning and leadership in the accounting profession.
When she’s not working, you’ll likely find Jimena at the baseball field cheering on her kids or enjoying a cozy movie night at home. With 15 years of travel baseball under her belt, she’s no stranger to batting cages and weekend tournaments. She also has a soft spot for Hallmark Christmas movies, which offer a perfect dose of comfort and nostalgia.
