Briefly describe your business.
At OnPath Financial, we take a different approach.  It begins with listening and understanding your needs. Once we have determined what you would like to do, only then will we formulate the plan designed to get you there.

We emphasize an independent approach to find and deliver the appropriate solutions for our clients from a universe of diverse financial product providers to create the custom solution best suited for you.

What is the size of the company?

We currently have two offices, located in St. Charles and Naperville, and we have 17 people ready to serve you.

What is your ideal client?
An ideal client understands the importance of strategic thinking. They have an urgent need for superior performance and understand that relevant planning drives good decision making today and helps manage tomorrow’s risk. Informed clients understand it is the decision you make today that helps you build wealth for tomorrow.

What products and/or services does your business offer?
Our client offerings are based on your needs and goals. If you would like to receive more value for your employee benefits (both retirement and insurance plans), or provide your management incentives through compensation or have a business continuity plan that manages your risk while navigating your transition strategy; these are all areas where we can be an advocate on your behalf.

For personal wealth management we draw from a wide spectrum of financial capabilities provided by LPL Financial to offer access to an extensive range of investment and insurance options.  We use the Wealthvision planning tool to provide our clients with the ability to organize their financial matters in a single location while providing modeling capabilities to understand how decisions today can build wealth for tomorrow.  We also provide estate planning services and provide trust services to fit our client needs through The Private Trust Company, a LPL Financial wholly owned national chartered trust bank licensed in all 50 states.

What have been the keys to success in your eyes?
Success is based on listening, understanding, and consistently delivering superior performance in relation to our client’s expectations. This is done by providing meaningful service based on a unique strategy for each client.  Our extensive independent network enables us to provide you with the expertise to serve your needs.

What kind of relationships do you establish with your customers?
We see our role as an advocate which means our relationship must be one where we understand our client’s business needs and their goals. An advocate is continually looking to benefit their clients in ways that are meaningful to them.  So we must continually work to understand what is meaningful to our clients and what will represent value in a sustainable manner.

How do you maintain the relationships?
We build our relationships by listening to our clients, attempting to anticipate their needs and keeping them informed.  Whether it is a regulatory development, a product innovation or providing our clients the current best-in-class ideas, we strive to give our clients an advantage.

Have you noticed any trends in your industry?
The trends in our industry reflect the overall trends in life; technological advancement, increased choice, and more diversity/complexity. We see our role as using these trends to provide a better level of service to our clients by keeping solutions easy to understand, providing access to actionable knowledge (not data) and providing more choice of financial products that will address unique client needs.

What is your greatest achievement?
For me personally, it is having a client express their confidence in their future after building a comprehensive management plan. I take great satisfaction helping business owners understand the incredible capabilities they could have to effectively manage their investments, build greater employee loyalty by offering superior benefits and protect their livelihood through effective risk management.  When our clients win – we win.

Funniest Story? / 2nd Greatest achievement?
I won a karaoke contest in Guangzhou China.
